Naltrexone Low dose

Naltrexone Aqueous Solution  1 mg/ml  405 mL.  This is a solution of crystalline Naltexone pure powder dissolved in distilled water.  This comes with a 5 mL oral syringe.  May be mixed in a beverage of choice (not hot).  The benefits of a solution is that this enables the patient to titrate the dose beginning with 1 mg or 1 mL at bedtime and gradually increasing mL at bedtime.   The common full dose of Low Dose Naltrexone is 4.5 mg but this may be too much for smaller patients.

Interestingly, LDN has been researched locally by Hershey researchers.  This safe non-toxic medication is commonly used to treat the following:
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • Crohn's disease
  • Lupus
  • Cancer
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Auto-immune and inflammatory conditions
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson's Disease

LDN or Low Dose Naltrexone is an increasingly more popular compounded medication that has benefits for numerous conditions that are usually treated with toxic or immune suppressing medications and at great financial expense.  LDN is only available at this low dose through compounding pharmacies.   This product offers a more affordable and flexible formulation that enables the patient to fine tune their titration and ultimate dose which accomodates patients of various body weights.   Rather than having to open capsules or pay for another mg size capsule, simply adjust the dose using the amber oral syringe.   Naltrexone has been shown to be stable in aqueous solution for 90 days at room temperature or refrigerated (likely stable longer).   See www.lowdosenaltrexone.org for more information.

As Prescribed by the Doctor.   Usually one begins with 1 mL at bedtime in juice and increases dose gradually over several weeks up to a max 4.5 mL (4.5 mg).   Many smaller persons feel better on lesser doses.
